Well, as the name would imply, Xtras were ways of 'eXtending' Director's and, by extension, Shockwave's capabilities. These are native binaries that the Director API would interface with to provide new abilities to the plugin. Basically they're just DLLs. The Liberty Court Player for Mac OS 10.9 and later facilitates playback of Liberty '.dcr' multi-channel recordings files created by the Liberty Recorder on an Apple Mac computer.
This Mac version of the Liberty Player has all of the transcription facilities found in the original Windows player program, including support for the VEC Infinity foot pedal to control playback.
To use a foot pedal with the Mac Player, a user should:
- Connect the foot pedal to the computer.
- Launch Player program.
- Select the 'LCR Player->Preferences' menu and go to the 'Foot Pedal' tab.
- Check the 'Use Foot Pedal' checkbox.
- Select the VEC Infinity foot pedal from the drop-down list.
- Click the 'Foot pedal settings..' button and select the desired settings.

The Liberty Player V2.0, and its subsequent releases, replace both the Liberty Court Player and the Liberty Interview Player. All new enhancements from this date forward, will be provided in updated versions of the Liberty Player program.
Please note, the Liberty Player program cannot be installed over-top-of either of the previous programs.
To install the Liberty Player program, you must first uninstall the Liberty Court Player and / or the Liberty Interview Player. If you want to retain any custom settings for the Player, then you must Export the program settings
(Tools => Export) before uninstalling the previous program(s), and then Import the same settings (Tools => Import) once the new Player program has been installed.
The Liberty Player provides playback facilities for files recorded by the Liberty Court Recorder or by the Liberty Interview Recorder. - open the standard Android file browser and go to the LibertyPlayer_v2_2_b7141.apk file.

(the option may be called 'Package installer' or something similar, depending on the Android version)
The install process will place an icon for the Liberty Player onto the screens with the other applications that are installed on the device.
